Prof. Alper Erturk is the Woodruff Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. His theoretical and experimental research program is centered on the dynamics, vibration, and acoustics of passive and active structures leveraging smart materials and metamaterials. He has published more than 240 articles in journals/conference proceedings, 5 book chapters, and 2 books (total citations > 16,500 and h-index: 57). Prof. Erturk is a recipient of various awards including the NSF CAREER Award, ASME Gary Anderson Early Achievement Award for early career impact in the field of adaptive structures and material systems, ASME C.D. Mote Jr. Early Career Award for research excellence in the field of vibration and acoustics, SEM James W. Dally Young Investigator Award for research excellence in experimental mechanics, and two ASME Energy Harvesting Best Paper Awards. He is an Associate Editor for various journals including Smart Materials and Structures, Journal of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures, and Journal of Vibration and Acoustics. He is a Fellow of ASME and SPIE.

Rafał Walczak

Professor Rafał Walczak is the Dean of the Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and microsystems of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. He is leading researcher of many Polish and international (EU Framework Programmes) scientific projects related to development of various devices utilizing micro/nanotechnologies and emerging technologies, including lab-on-a-chip and 3D printed energy harvesters. He is author and co-author of over 200 scientific papers. During his career he has attended more than 100 conference and schools, he has more than 50 oral communications at conferences. He received also many conference awards for outstanding oral and poster presentations and national prestigious awards including Defender 2014 Award of Internationals Defence Industry Exhibition and 2014 Golden Laure of National Technical Organisation. He is member of Executive Board of Polish Society of Sensor Techniques, member of International Steering Committee of Eurosensors Conference and he was member of MANCEF Foundation General Advisory Board.

Xiaosheng Zhang

Currently a professor at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Professor Zhang received a Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics and Solid-State Electronics from Peking University in 2014. Later, he joined École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, as a research scientist, and also served as a research associate at University of Tokyo, Japan. In 2017, he was awarded with the Hundred-Talent Professorship by the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. His research field covers micro/nano electronic science and technology, and especially its application for self-powered micro/nano electronics.
Professor Zhang has published 2 scientific books, more than 50 peer-reviewed papers (Nano Letters, ACS Nano, Nano Energy, etc.) and contributed over 25 conference talks (MEMS, TRANSDUCERS, NEMS, etc.), and authorized 22 invention patents. In recognition for his research accomplishment, Prof. Zhang won over 20 academic awards. He also served as TPC member and session chair for TRANSDUCERS 2019 and IEEE NEMS 2017-2021, and referee for several highly-reputable journals (Nature Communications, ACS Nano, Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Nano Energy, etc.). Prof. Zhang currently serves as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology and IET Micro & Nano Letters.
