Conference VenueThe PowerMEMS+ 2024 Conference will be held at the Quality hotel Tønsberg in Tønsberg, about one hour's drive south of Oslo.
The hotel is situated close to restaurants and night life, with a spectacular view right at the dock. It has three restaurants and one bar on its own. Lunch, which is included in the conference, will be provided in a hotel restaurant. Snacks (including popcorn and ice cream), drinks and fruits will be available in common areas during breaks.
The venue is a walking distance or a short taxi-ride from Tønsberg railway station. Train is a convenient means of transportation to the city from Oslo Airport (OSL) or Sandefjord Airport Torp (TRF). An alternative if you arrive at Torp is to take a taxi to the hotel. The hotel has underground parking.
School Venue
The PowerMEMS+ 2024 School Will be held at the Vestfold Campus of University of South-Eastern Norway in Horten. There are convenient buses from Tønsberg. More details and other options are here: How to get to University of South-Eastern Norway campus Vestfold.
Accommodation
No rooms are being held for the attendees by the conference organizers. You must book these yourself. Hotels conveniently located in the centre of Tønsberg are:

Vestfold is the place in Norway with the most traces of Viking heritage such as large, significant burial mounds, remains of Norway's first town and the most important finds from this period. Vestfold even has its own Viking ships including replicas which are built and can be seen by the canal just outside the conference venue.
